Aurora officials and a private organization removed hundreds of birds from a townhouse in the western suburb today.
Kevin Stahr, a spokesman for the city, said contracted bio-hazard workers were joined by members of the Greater Chicago Cage Bird Club.
Stahr said the city has a court order allowing them to enter the townhome. David Skeberdis, the owner of the townhome, said this morning he wants the best for the birds and is happy the organization will find homes for them.
